Aadhar card is an essential document for every Indian citizen. The Government of India has made the Aadhar card mandatory for every citizen of the country. Aadhar card is issued by UIDAI. Aadhar card contains the details of the person's name, date of birth, gender, address. This card must be authentic and up to date. In such a situation, if you have changed your house, then immediately change the address in your Aadhaar. Otherwise many problems may arise.


The process of changing addresses in Aadhaar has also started online. You can easily change the address by visiting the official website of UIDAI. So let's know how you can update the address on the Aadhar card. The step-by-step process for this is as follows.


Aadhar card address change process


First of all, go to the UIDAI website uidai.gov.in. After that go to the My Support section.


Here you will see the Update Your Aadhaar column. In which you have to click on Update Demographics Data Online.

After this, UIDAI's Self Service Update Portal (SSUP) ssup.uidai.gov.in will open in front of you. Here you have to click on Proceed to Update Aadhaar option.


Now you will be asked to enter your Aadhar card number and captcha code. After this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Enter OTP and submit.


After entering the OTP, you have to click on Update Demographics Data. After that, you have to click on the address. After that click on Proceed.


Then you will see your old address and fill in some personal information below and also upload valid documents.

Preview the file again and submit the file later. After this, you will get the Update Request Number ie URN, with the help of which you can check the status on the UIDAI website.
