Ishan Kishan is the most expensive buyer ever in this IPL 2022 auction as Mumbai India broke the bank and secured it for INR 15.25 crore. Deepak Chahar has become the second most expensive player ever to be auctioned by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore. While famous Krishna and Loki Ferguson got Rs 10 crore from RR and LSG respectively, Josh Hazlewood was bought by RCB for Rs 7.75 crore. Shardul Thakur also got a big amount as DCA bought him for Rs 10.75 crore. Out of a lot of spinners, Kuldeep Yadav was selected first as DCA bought him for Rs 2 crore. Rahul Chahar and Yuzvendra Chahal were the next spinners to be bought. They went to Punjab Kings and RR respectively. Earlier in the afternoon, the IPL 2022 auction resumed and Charu Sharma took over the duties for the day after the upset Hugh Admids crashed in the mid-event. So far, Shreyas Iyer and Hershal Patel have got some of the highest bids. We saw a multi-team bidding war for Vanindu Hasaranga and eventually bought it through RCB for INR 10.75 crore. When KKR bought Aiyar for INR 12.25 crore, RCB sprinkled a large sum on Hershal Patel and recovered it for INR 10.75 crore. Earlier in the day, Punjab Kings were in early business, buying Shikhar Dhawan and Kagiso Rabada. The Kolkata Knight Riders bought Pat Cummins. The Lucknow Super Giants got Quinton de Kok before Rajasthan Royals picked Trent Bolt and R Ashwin. Mohammed Shami and Faf du Plessis have joined Gujarat Titans and RCB respectively. David Warner is set to reunite with Delhi Capitals. RRA also bought Devdutt Padikkal and Shimron Hatmeyer, while Uthappa and Jason Roy were bagged for their original prices. Smith, Miller, and Raina are unsold. Jason Holder goes to Lucknow, Dwayne Bravo returns with CSK, while Nitish Rana returns to KKR. After which Deepak Hooda was sold to Lucknow.
