The objective of Sankat Mochan Yojana
The Government of Gujarat runs many schemes aimed at helping the economically weaker sections of the society. In which the head of the family living below the poverty line (BPL) dies naturally or accidentally by the Social Security Department and "Sankat Mochan" for the purpose of providing financial assistance to the family in this sudden calamity/difficult situation. Scheme" or "National Kutumb Sahay Yojana". This scheme is also known as National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS).
Who gets the benefit of Sankat Mochan Yojana? (their eligibility)
1. Under BPL (Poverty Line), if the main breadwinner (male or female) of the family with a score of 0 to 20 dies naturally or in an accident, the family is entitled to the benefits of the distress relief scheme.
2. The age of the deceased male or female should be more than 18 years and less than 60 years.
3. To take advantage of Sankat Mochan Yojana, the beneficiary has to apply within 2 years of death.
How much assistance is available under Sankat Mochan Yojana? (Benefits of Sankat Mochan Yojana)
Under the Sankat Mochan Yojana i.e. Rashtriya Kutumb Sahay Yojana Gujarat scheme, a lump sum assistance of Rs 20,000/- is given to the family of the deceased earner through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
Where and how to apply for Sankat Mochan Yojana?
Gujarat Government has started the process of online application from the Digital Gujarat Portal website in Gram Panchayat to make Sankat Mochan Yojana online.
An online form has to be filled on Digital Gujarat Portal (Digital Gujarat Login) from VCE in Gram Panchayat. To get benefits under Sankat Mochan Yojana, one has to apply online for Digital Gujarat Portal from VCE (Village Computer Entrepreneur) in any Gram Panchayat.
You have to apply online on Digital Gujarat Portal at “Computer Operator of Social Security Office” in the office of Taluka Mamlatdar.
Who has the right to approve the application for the Sankat Mochan Yojana?
On receipt of the applicant's application under the Sankat Mochan Yojana, the Mamlatdar of the area has the right to accept/reject the necessary verification.
Documents for availing Sankat Mochan scheme
Beneficiaries registered under Poverty Line (BPL) get benefits under the "National Family Assistance Scheme" under National Social Assistance Program. The assistance of this scheme is available in case of death of main earning male/female persons above 18 years and below 60 years of age. Below are the documents required for Gujarat Sankat Mochan Yojana 2021 to avail of the benefits of Sankat Mochan Yojana.
1. Pattern of Death of Main Earner (Female/Male)
2. Applicant's Aadhar Card (Male/Female)
3. Anyone proof of residence (Election Card/Ration Card etc.)
4. Beneficiary's bank account passbook
5. Example of the applicant being a BPL beneficiary
6. Birth pattern / Age pattern of the main breadwinner of the family
Special Note on Sankat Mochan Yojana
Certificate for BPL scores for beneficiaries included in the BPL (below poverty line list) prepared by the government on the basis of the social and economic survey as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Rural Development for beneficiaries in rural areas and beneficiaries in urban areas. Beneficiaries included in the list prepared by the ministry
If the application for Sankat Mochan Yojana (National Family Assistance) is rejected by the Mamlatdar of that area, an appeal can be made to the concerned provincial authority within 60 days.
Under the Sankat Mochan Yojana, only Rs. 20000/- (twenty thousand) is available.
